Signed Ellis: remarkable large mixed media pencil holder with the bottom being a figural cowboy boot made of wood. The
artwork on this box is quality all the way and should be examined closely. Very strong resemblance to Gollings' works. The
paper has spotting which is very typical of these pencil boxes. The scene is a covered wagon being drawn by a team of
oxen, a common sight on the Oregon Trail.  Measures 9 1/4" tall. Circa 1920s.

Ellis Pencil Box depicting the old Chapel in Casper Wyoming at the Air Base. After the Air Base was closed, the Chapel was
moved in 1953 to become part of the Catholic Parrish in Casper and there is an extensive write-up
here.  Pencil box is 5
1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide. Several creases near the top but still a great collectible, a wonderful reminder of Casper's Military
past.

Beautiful original oil, measures 18" x 24" (canvas) and is 31" x 24 1/2" overall. There is a tiny spot of paint missing as I've
detailed in the photos, in the upper left sky area. Mild soiling on the frame area but a glorious use of color and light. You
can almost smell the hay and saddlesoap. This is Fillerup's 416th painting (so stated) Fillerup was born in Wyoming's Big
Horn Basin in 1924. From his studio in Cody, Wyoming, he creates dramatic landscape paintings as well as work that reflects
his interest in the people and animals of the West. He received two Gold Medals at the American Indian and Cowboy Artists
Show in San Dimas, California, the Peter Hassrick Merit Award, Helena, Montana, Audubon Wildlife, Best of Show Award,
Dubois, Wyoming and the Nick Eggenhoffer Award in 1994. Mel is listed in Who's Who in Art and Who's Who in the West

Slightly larger in size than my other "End of the Fence" painting by Dolph, this one measures 3 1/4" square and 4 3/4"
overall. The frame has some chipping but it's original to the piece. Marie Dorothy Dolph (1884 - 1979) painted until she was
age 94, doing canvases of Wyoming ranches and landscapes, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mount Hood, Oregon sights,
deserts of California and wildlife including buffalo and wild horses. Dolph lived for a number of years outside of Casper
Wyoming near the famed Goose Egg Ranch with her husband Royal "Jay" Dolph. She would paint through the harsh
Wyoming winters and travel to Yellowstone National park to sell her creations to the tourists. As most of her works were
miniatures they were perfect to pack into a visitor's suitcase and now her works are appreciated by collectors around the
globe.  Dolph is listed in Dowdy's, Who's Who, Davenports etc., and is only one of two listed Wyoming women artists.
